Introduction to plant based nutrition
How is your nutrition right now? What foods do you mainly eat? We will introduce the benefits of a plant based diet and why they are becoming so popular in recent times. This lesson provides you with the information on what type of plant based diets there are, and which one will suit you for your own personal goals in life.
So now you know the benefits of a plant based diet, where exactly do you start when building one for your personal needs? What are the essential nutrients? In this lesson complex, scientific information will be translated in easy to understand terms. We will look at our first group of essential nutrients, macronutrients, and how we make sure we get the recommended amounts from a vegetarian/vegan diet.
What about Vitamins and Minerals? These are essential for health, and unsurprisingly plant based foods are packed with them. Learn the importance of the micros, where to get them, and what happens if you do not include micronutrients in your daily diet.

In this lesson we will put together the information we have covered so far to build our plant based diets. We will look at some myths surrounding vegetarian and vegan diets and separate fact from fiction. Transition foods are the secret to successfully sticking to your new plant based life so this lesson will introduce the most important transition foods for any green foodie!
Plant based diets for the whole family
The tools provided in lesson 6 will start you on the road to success. You may be convinced of the benefits of a PBD (Plant Based Diet), but are your family? Here we provide information to ensure that you are able to meet your, and your family’s, dietary needs with delicious vegetarian/vegan meal plans.
The vegetarian/vegan athlete
There is a misconception that athletes can’t perform at their best on a PBD. Well, in this lesson you will learn how to build an athletic diet based solely on non-meat foods. We will discuss the concept of plant based protein and supplements in more detail and ensure that you perform at your best with a PBD.

We will finish up Module 1 by giving you the tools to support personal behaviour change to ensure you are successful in implementing a plant based lifestyle. Thank you for a fantastic online platform! I've so far done the personal nutrition and is currently working through the advance nutrition course. I've also signed up for the child nutrition and the diet and weight loss course.
I have only had 3 lesson so far in the diet and weight management program and I'm already able to advise people on healthy eating habits and plans and explain to them what happens in the body when certain foods are eaten. I am also very happy with the interactive approach Stacy takes in teaching the course, it makes it very interesting and something to look forward to even though I have to sit up and listen to it at night after a very busy day because of my time zone.
I recently started the "Diet & Weight Management" course and have not enjoyed learning about something new, as much as I am this one, in the longest time. I get more excited with every lesson and cannot wait to have the correct knowledge to help me improve my life style.
